FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway is a volunteer and member-based organization that partners with the National Park Service. Our goal is to increase the capacity of park staff so that they are able to interact with more visitors and maintain the park.
FRIENDS is considered the “hand on stewards” for the park. Our volunteers work tirelessly alongside National Park Staff to help in many different ways. Interested in helping the Parkway, too? Just fill out an interest form or call the office, we would love to hear from you!
Recently volunteered on the Parkway? Sending in your work hours is one of the ways the park secures funding. It also helps FRIENDS create work plans and identify better ways to support our volunteers. So, thank you for taking the time to report your hours.
